JOB INFORMATION
Position: Restaurant Cashier
Pay: $15.50 – $19.50 per hour, depending on experience and location

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take customer orders accurately in person or through the restaurant’s ordering system.
- Process cash, credit card, debit card, and other approved payment methods.
- Provide customers with receipts and verify transaction amounts.
- Operate the restaurant’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Answer basic questions about menu items, prices, promotions, and restaurant policies.
- Communicate customer orders accurately to kitchen and food preparation staff.
- Assist with packaging and organizing takeout orders when needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean cashier station.
- Restock bags, napkins, utensils, condiments, and other front-counter supplies.
- Assist with basic dining-area cleaning and front-of-house duties during slower periods.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and refer more complex issues to a supervisor.
- Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required for all positions.
- Previous cashier, retail, restaurant, or customer service experience is a plus.
- No culinary or healthcare training required.
- Comfortable using a POS system and basic computer equipment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.

- Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
