We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Package Handler to join a package delivery, warehouse, or logistics team in Atlanta, GA. This position will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, scanning, and moving packages within a warehouse or distribution facility while helping ensure shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable performing physical work, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous warehouse or package-handling experience is not required, as training may be provided.

JOB INFORMATION

Position: Package Handler
Pay: $15.00 – $21.00 per hour, depending on experience and employer

Schedule: Daytime, evening, overnight, early morning, and weekend shifts may be available, with schedules based on facility hours and operational needs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload packages from trucks, trailers, conveyors, and designated areas.
• Sort packages according to destination, route, size, type, or other operational requirements.
• Scan packages using handheld scanners or automated scanning equipment.
• Move packages between receiving, sorting, staging, and shipping areas.
• Verify package labels, tracking information, and shipping details.
• Place packages in designated containers, carts, pallets, or staging areas.
• Handle packages carefully to help prevent damage during loading, unloading, and sorting.
• Assist with preparing shipments for outbound transportation.
• Identify damaged, mislabeled, or improperly sorted packages and report issues to supervisors.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the facility.
• Assist with basic inventory and shipment checks when required.
• Operate carts, pallet jacks, conveyors, or other material-handling equipment when authorized and trained.
• Follow company procedures for package handling, security, loss prevention, and workplace safety.
• Complete assigned loading, unloading, sorting, scanning, and material-handling duties according to company standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• No college degree or formal warehouse education required.
• Interest in warehouse, shipping, package handling, and logistics operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written or electronic instructions.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and move packages throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move packages according to employer requirements.
• Basic ability to use or learn handheld scanners and warehouse equipment.
• Ability to accurately identify package labels, tracking information, and destinations.
• Professional and respectful attitude toward coworkers and supervisors.
• Basic English communication skills preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as scheduled.
