We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support the daily HR operations of a growing organization in Los Angeles, CA. This position will assist the HR team with employee records, onboarding, scheduling, internal communications, and other administrative activities related to human resources.
The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and comfortable working with confidential employee information. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks are important for this position. Previous experience in human resources, office administration, recruiting, or customer service is a plus.
JOB INFORMATION
Position: Human Resources Assistant
Pay: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Employment Type: Full-time / W-2
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team.
- Assist with new employee onboarding and required documentation.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Schedule interviews, meetings, and employee appointments.
- Assist with job postings and coordinate candidate information.
- Respond to routine employee questions and direct complex matters to the appropriate HR team member.
- Prepare HR-related documents, reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- Assist with tracking employee information, attendance, and required documentation.
- Help coordinate training sessions and employee meetings.
- Communicate with candidates and employees regarding routine HR matters.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and applicant information.
- Support general HR projects and administrative tasks as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Human Resources or Business is a plus.
- Previous administrative, HR, recruiting, customer service, or office experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email, and HR software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Good time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
