JOB INFORMATION

Position: Cashier
Pay: $17.75 – $23.00 per hour, depending on the store and position

Schedule: Daytime and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays, with schedules based on store hours and operational needs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service at the checkout area.
• Accurately scan merchandise and process customer purchases.
• Accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and other approved forms of payment.
• Provide receipts and assist customers with basic questions about purchases.
• Process returns and exchanges according to store procedures.
• Maintain an accurate and organized cash register and checkout area.
• Follow company procedures for cash handling, discounts, promotions, and loss prevention.
• Help keep the front-end area clean and presentable.
• Assist customers with locating products or direct them to the appropriate store associate when needed.
• Report register, payment, or customer service issues to a supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with sales associates and other store employees.
• Follow workplace safety and customer service procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• No college degree or formal retail education required.
• Ability to provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Basic ability to operate or learn a cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand and work at a register for extended periods.
• Professional and respectful attitude toward customers and coworkers.
• Basic English communication skills preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
