We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and responsible Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide in-home support to clients in Boston, MA. This position focuses on assisting individuals with daily activities, personal care, mobility, companionship, and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.
The ideal candidate is patient, respectful, and comfortable working directly with clients in their homes. Previous experience in home care, caregiving, senior care, or healthcare support is preferred. The successful candidate should be dependable and able to follow individualized care plans and established safety procedures.
JOB INFORMATION
Position: Home Health Aide (HHA)
Pay: $19.50 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and assignment
Location: Boston, MA
Employment Type: Full-time / W-2
Work Arrangement: In-home / Field-based
Schedule: Flexible shifts available, including weekday, evening, overnight, and weekend assignments based on client needs
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist clients with activities of daily living and personal care.
- Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene as permitted by the care plan.
- Assist clients with walking, mobility, and transfers when appropriate.
- Prepare simple meals and assist with meal-related activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Help clients with routine errands and daily activities when included in the care plan.
- Provide medication reminders when permitted by the care plan and applicable regulations.
- Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow individualized care plans and employer procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
- Communicate professionally with clients, family members, supervisors, and care team members.
- Respect client privacy, dignity, independence, and personal preferences.
- Follow infection-control, emergency, and workplace safety procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in home care, caregiving, senior care, personal care, or healthcare support is preferred.
- Completion of applicable home health aide or personal care training requirements, when required for the position.
- High school diploma or equivalent may be preferred depending on the employer and assignment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient approach to client care.
- Ability to follow care plans and written instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to perform essential physical duties associated with caregiving.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling personal or health-related information.
- Successful completion of required background screening.
- Must meet applicable Massachusetts requirements for the specific position and employer.
- Reliable transportation may be required depending on the assignment.
