We are seeking a friendly and dependable Dental Assistant to support the clinical and administrative operations of a dental practice in Miami, FL. This position will assist dentists and dental staff during patient visits, prepare treatment rooms, maintain instruments, update patient information, and help provide a comfortable experience for patients.
The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable interacting with patients in a clinical environment. Previous dental assisting experience is preferred, although candidates with relevant healthcare or patient-care experience may also be considered depending on the position.
JOB INFORMATION
Position: Dental Assistant
Pay: $23.50 – $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Work Arrangement: On-site
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts based on practice needs
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental equipment before patient appointments.
- Assist dentists and dental professionals during examinations and procedures.
- Welcome patients and help them prepare for scheduled appointments.
- Provide basic instructions to patients regarding treatment and post-visit care as directed by the dental team.
- Maintain and sterilize instruments according to office and infection-control procedures.
- Take and prepare dental X-rays when properly trained and authorized.
- Update patient records and enter treatment information into the practice management system.
- Prepare materials and supplies needed for dental procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment areas.
- Assist with patient scheduling and other front-office tasks when needed.
- Monitor dental supplies and notify management when inventory needs to be replenished.
- Follow patient privacy, safety, and infection-control procedures.
- Provide professional and compassionate support to patients throughout their visit.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous dental assisting or healthcare experience preferred.
- Dental assisting education or certification may be required depending on duties and applicable Florida requirements.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Comfortable working with computers and dental practice management software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional and friendly patient-care approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team.
- Ability to follow infection-control and safety procedures.
